What the free tier counts

The free tier is the whole app with a ceiling on three things: recipes, production plans and orders. Ingredients, units, categories, saved cakes and the shopping list have no ceiling you will meet, and every calculator is free.

The moment a limit is checked

Nothing stops you reading, editing or cooking. The check happens when you create. At the ceiling, a new recipe, plan or order opens the paywall instead of a blank form. Over the recipe ceiling one more thing locks: scaling a recipe turns read-only until you are under it again.

Why deleting does not free quota

Make a recipe, delete it, make another: the shelf has room again. But the account also counts everything it ever created, and that number only rises. Try that circle often enough on the free tier and new recipes stop even with room on the shelf. Test ideas by editing a recipe you keep, not by making and deleting one.

What needs Pro outright

Three things ask for Pro rather than a slot. The first is updating prices from a receipt or with an AI estimate. The second is the tier builder: you can use it in full, but its results stay blurred. The third is a larger monthly allowance of AI imports, shared between recipe import and price updates. Editing prices by hand is free.
