Sync, offline and devices
What follows you to a second phone, what works offline, and what stays where it was made.

What follows you
Everything you make is on the account, not the phone. Sign in on the tablet and the first screen reads “Syncing to this device”. Then the recipes, plans, orders, clients and saved cakes are there, with your language, units, currency and country. The one thing that does not travel is a guest account, which has nothing to sign in with.
- Recipes, ingredients and plans
- Orders, clients and products
- Saved cakes and the shopping list
- Language, units, currency and country
When the second device catches up
The shopping list is live. Tick the cream in the shop, and it moves on the phone at home the same moment. Everything else syncs when the app opens, comes back to the foreground, or you pull down on a list. Save a recipe on the phone and the tablet shows it the next time it wakes, not while it sleeps.
- Shopping list live on every device
- Other data on open, wake and pull-down
Working without a connection
The app keeps working with no signal. Read every recipe, edit one, tick the list, cook through a plan. Each change waits and sends itself when the connection returns. What needs a connection is anything that leaves the phone, and the very first sign-in on a new device.
- Reading, editing and cooking offline
- Changes sent when the signal returns
- Photos need a connection
- AI import and buying Pro need one too
What stays on the phone
A few things are deliberately kept where they were made. A plan reminder rings on the phone that set it, not on the tablet. Other things are remembered per device too: crossed-off steps in cooking mode, the last scaled yield, the day or week view, calculator inputs and the open sections on Home. Two devices can differ.
- Reminders set on a plan
- Crossed-off ingredients and steps
- Last scaled yield of a recipe
- Day or week view and Home layout
Not in the app
Three things sync does not do:
- Merge two accounts into one
- Share a library with a second baker
- A web version to sign into
Common questions
Does the app need internet to start?
No. Once signed in on a device, the app opens with everything it has and catches up later. Only the first sign-in on a device needs a connection.
I signed in on a new phone and the list is empty. Why?
Because the first sync has not finished. Get a connection, reopen the app or pull down on a list, and the account arrives.
