Nutrition values
Calories and macros per ingredient, typed from the label or picked from the built-in food library.

Values for an amount you choose
Nutrition is entered for an amount of the ingredient: 100 g by default, 100 ml for a liquid, ounces on the US unit system. Copy calories, protein, fat and carbohydrates from the back of the mascarpone tub. Fibre is optional. The split between the three shows beside the fields. Every recipe using the ingredient picks the values up at once.
- Calories, protein, fat and carbohydrates
- Fibre as an optional field
- Per 100 g, 100 ml or ounces
The built-in food library
“Select from dictionary” opens a search with the ingredient’s name already typed in. Pick an entry and its figures land per 100 g. They are typical values for a generic product, and the sheet says so. Names are held in English, Ukrainian, Polish and Russian. A search matches any of them, whatever language the app runs in.
When a recipe can use them
Values alone are not always enough. The library marks an ingredient whose nutrition is missing. It also marks one whose values cannot be reached from the unit a recipe uses. Calories per 100 g cannot count vanilla measured in pods. Tap the warning to see which of the two it is.
Not in the app
Two things nutrition values do not do:
- Go beyond the macros; sugar, salt, vitamins and minerals have no field
- Read values from a photo of the label; they are typed or picked from the library
Common questions
Can I change the basis from grams to millilitres later?
Yes, but the values do not move with it. Grams to ounces restates the amount, so 100 g becomes 3.53 oz with the same figures. Grams to millilitres keeps both as typed, because nothing can convert between them. Check them against the label.
