Units, currency and country

The settings that decide how every weight, price and week is shown in the app.

Weight units and length units

Weight units and length units are two separate rows in Settings. Changing one never changes the other. You can weigh sugar in grams and buy 8-inch tins: metric weights, pans in inches. The weight setting shapes the unit picker and new ingredients. The length setting decides how every pan, tier and cake size is shown.

Number format

Auto shows fractions where the unit calls for them and decimals everywhere else. ½ cup stays ½ cup and 125 g stays 125 g. Fractions and Decimals force one style for every number. The first choice follows your units: cups and inches start on fractions, metric starts on decimals.

One currency for every price

Every ingredient price, recipe cost and order total is shown in the currency from Settings. Changing the currency changes the label, not the numbers. Move from Poland to Ireland and switch to euro. A 12 zł bag of almonds then shows as €12 until you enter the new price.

What the country decides

The country is read from the phone. It sets the first day of the planner week and the market for AI price estimates. The app language is separate. In Portugal you can use the app in Ukrainian and still get estimates from Portuguese shops. Automatic follows the phone. Pick a country by hand when you bake somewhere else.
